CNX’s 2025 in Review: 

Our Year of Growth, Connection, and Cyber Confidence

As 2025 draws to a close, we’re reflecting on a year of exciting growth, new partnerships, and meaningful moments across our Christchurch and Nelson teams. From welcoming new clients to launching our new CNX Secure packages, this year has been all about strengthening connections and helping Kiwi businesses thrive. 

Here’s a look back at what made 2025 so memorable - and a glimpse of what’s ahead in 2026. 

 

Our Work 

  • The CNX Team have closed over 15,000 tickets generated from calls and emails in 2025, these include alerts, notifications, client support requests, new devices purchased, strategic reviews and Account Management support.  
  • We have seen and helped many businesses embrace and adopt AI in their workplace. 
  • We have supported many clients who've outgrown their premises and expanded into new buildings. 
  • Our people have become more certified, educated and upskilled, all working towards excellence.  
  • We've been hard at work sharpening our tools, data security and automation at CNX and with our clients. 
  • A highlight project this year was to support one of our clients adopt AI in their phone system, to enable them to support their clients and free up staff productivity.  
  • To provide a more personalised and quicker service to our clients, we have extended our physical presence across the South Island. 

 

Formed new Partnerships and Connections 

CNX have formed new partnerships with  local and global businesses, to set us and our clients up for success in the new year 

  • We are now a Strong Community partner with the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce. 
  • CNX has recently been awarded our partnership with AWS, and have already seen some awesome capabilities this platform offers our clients. 
  • Onboarded many new clients this year and welcomed them into the CNX whānau. 

 

Events That Brought Us Together 

This year, we ran several successful events that helped us connect with clients and colleagues: 

  • Copilot Demo Workshop Nelson (March) - Chelcie hosted a Copilot Demo Workshop in Nelson for a few clients that had been asking to learn more about AI.  
  • Nelson Aspire Conference (June) - We were able to join the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce in supporting their Annual Aspire Conference in Nelson.  
  • CNX Mid-Year Staff Dinner (July) – a chance for our team to unwind, celebrate wins, and strengthen our internal culture. 
  • Cybersecurity Breakfast (July) – a standout moment where we introduced our new cybersecurity offering to Businesses in  Nelson. We enjoyed a lovely Breakfast together at the Tides Hotel. 
  • CNX Daffodil Day Morning Tea (August) - Both the CNX offices enjoyed a fundraiser and morning tea at each office.  
  • Cybersecurity Insights Networking Event Christchurch (September) - we had an awesome evening at the Craft Embassy Christchurch. 
  • Preventing Cyber Attacks with CNX Webinar (October) - Gareth hosted a webinar showcasing the timeline of a Phishing attack, how AI is changing the game and ways to slow or stop an attack.  
  • CNX End of Year Staff Dinner (November) - Whakatū Rotary hosted Casino night for our team at the Tasman Bay Cruising Club 

These events weren’t just about food and photos - they were about building trust, sharing knowledge, and celebrating the people who make CNX what it is. 

 

 Welcoming New Team Members 

2025 also saw the arrival of new talent to the CNX whānau, including: 

  • Dean McInnes, Account Manager in Nelson (January) 
  • Liam Johnston, Service Desk Engineer in Nelson (April) 
  • Natasha Crawford, Office and Contracts Administrator in Nelson (April) 
  • Matthew Hilde, Service Desk Engineer in Nelson (June) 
  • Malo Magele, Systems Engineer in Christchurch (July) 

We’re proud to be growing not just in numbers, but in capability, culture, and care. Helping us scale our services and maintain our “quietly brilliant” standard.

 

Looking Ahead to 2026 

Next year, we’re excited to: 

  • Expand our Christchurch support with more local events and partnerships. 
  • Launch new standards to level-up the service we provide to our clients. 
  • Continue investing in staff development and client experience. 
  • Improve and support our clients businesses to enhance their people, their product/service(s), systems, automation and improve their profit 
  • Celebrate CNX’s journey with a special Event (it's our 25th Anniversary in 2026) stay tuned!
